How to Install

To install ReShade, follow these steps:

Installation

  • Use the Setup Tool: Start by using the ReShade setup tool. Ensure you download and run the latest version available from the official website (reshade.Downlolad).
  • Select the Game: When prompted, select the game you want to enhance with ReShade. You can click the “Browse” button to locate the game’s executable file in its installation folder.
  • Choose the Appropriate API: Based on the game you’ve selected, you’ll be asked to choose the appropriate graphics API (e.g., Direct3D 9, Direct3D 10/11/12, or OpenGL). Refer to the game-specific information to determine the correct API. Many modern games use Direct3D 11 or 12.
  • Download Shaders: The installer will download a standard set of shaders. You can also opt to select additional shaders if you desire additional visual effects.
  • Install Shaders: Proceed by installing the shaders as prompted by the installer.
  • Configuration Options: The installer will ask if you want to download a collection of standard effects. This is an optional step. You can choose to download them or not, depending on your preferences.
  • Completion: Once the installation process is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation message, indicating that ReShade is installed for your chosen game.

Using ReShade:

  • Launching the Game: To experience the enhanced visuals, start your game as you usually would.
  • Accessing ReShade Menu: While in the game, press the designated hotkey (by default, it’s typically the “Home” key) to open the in-game ReShade menu.
  • Loading Presets or Configuring Effects: In the ReShade menu, you can load presets or configure the effects and shaders to your liking. Experiment with different settings to achieve the desired visual enhancements.
  • Saving Configuration (Optional): You can save your configuration as a preset if you’ve made changes you want to keep for future gaming sessions.

Uninstallation:

  1. Using the Setup Tool for Uninstallation: If you ever wish to uninstall ReShade from a game, use the same setup tool that was used for installation.
  2. Select Your Game Executable: The setup tool will ask you to choose your game’s executable, similar to the installation process.
  3. API Selection for Uninstallation: After selecting the API, the setup tool will give you the option to either overwrite or uninstall ReShade for that specific game. Choose “uninstall” to remove ReShade.

With these steps, you can easily install and use ReShade to enhance your gaming experience, and if needed, uninstall it from a game.
